“I’m pleased that the president has called at least a temporary halt and working to make sure that the rules are observed and the protections are in place. I personally think that these deepwater, offshore locations as well, frankly, as some of the more fragile locations in the United States like the arctic wildlife refuge are the last places we need to look for oil, not the next. But fundamentally we’ve got to develop a new energy future. The administration has done some good work in that area, but we need to redouble our efforts.”
