In light of the United State's involvement in Libya, how much should the United States follow the Responsibilty to Protect norm in other countires experiencing conflict? The Responsibilty to Protect norm says that the international community must act when the state itself is inflicting harm on or is not protecting its people.

Why do we not have an immediate program to become 100% energy self-sufficient-10yrs or sooner. Start expanding drilling, refining, greater use of natural gas (for all trucks) and the immediate construction of nuclear plants to supply electricity. We also can reduce consumption by education and incentives. Won't this provide real jobs?
