Ed Perlmutter was elected into the Colorado State Senate in 1994 where he served for two terms and eventually became president pro tempore. He was elected into Congress in 2007 and continues to serve today. While in Congress, Perlmutter has been a strong supporter of renewable energy, an issue that has been important to him throughout his entire political career.
