
John Barrasso was appointed to the U.S. Senate in 2007 when former Senator Craig Thomas died. He was reelected in 2008. Before joining the Senate he worked as an orthopedic surgeon and was named Wyoming Physician of the Year. He also served as the President of the Wyoming Medical Society and the medical director of the Wyoming Health Fairs. Official Biography
