    How can we have any chance of true "Health Care Reform" as long as the McCarren-Ferguson Act (passed in the 1940's) protects the insurance companies from any Sherman Anti-trust investigation and ,in fact, allows them to be the only industry for which the anti-trust laws do not apply ?

    I thought that whenever an industry was making higher profits, other entrepreneurial companies would enter that industry. In the wake of Exxon's record profits, why are there no new companies entering this industry and competing? Wouldn't competition help? What can or should the government do to help increase competition?

    Why can sitting senators virtually abandon their "day jobs" to run for President for more than a year? I assume they're getting paid normal salaries during this time. Why aren't you responsible for being in your office, or being on the Senate floor for debates or votes. Where is the obligation to represent your constituents?
